Mahindra Group donates Oxygen plant to Telangana

Hyderabad: As part of its wide-ranging, empathetic response to the Covid-19 crisis, the Mahindra Group announced the installation of a 500LPM Oxygen Plant at Government Area General Hospital, Zaheerabad, Telangana. The Oxygen plant was inaugurated by T Harish Rao, Minister for Finance, Health, Medical and Family Welfare, Government of Telangana.
The Mahindra Group has been supporting the Government in the fight against Covid-19. Previously, the Group donated two oxygen plants and twelve ambulances to Telangana. The Group also provided face shields, ration kits, cooked meals, face masks, PPE Kits, aerosol boxes and medical equipment for hospitals.
Ruzbeh Irani, President - Group Human Resources and Communications, said: "The requirement for oxygen is still one of the baffling challenges we face. Mahindra has partnered with governments to scale up medical infrastructure and provide oxygen plants, oxygen concentrators, ambulances, and set up temporary Covid-19 care centers."
The Mahindra Group has set up 23 oxygen plants and donated 94 ambulances across 19 states, in addition to its commitment of substantial funds across India to address the pandemic. The Group has supported the government's relief efforts and provided ICU beds, emergency cab services, quarantine centers, oxygen-on-demand, monetary support and dry rations for the underprivileged.
